GPU-first and tiled, so big canvases stay smooth, all the way down to integrated graphics.
Operating system
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The installer and app are code-signed by a verified publisher.
Graphics
A working Direct3D 12 or Vulkan driver is required. Timelapse uses Limner's built-in H.264 encoder, so no FFmpeg install or hardware video encoder is required.
Pen & tablet
Native Win32 pen with pressure and tilt. A tablet is optional, a mouse works fine to start.
Storage & safety
A light native install. Autosave and crash recovery keep your work safe between sessions.

Run the installer
Download Limner-Setup.exe and open it. It is digitally signed, so Windows shows the verified publisher Parker Vincent, the developer behind Limner.
If you see a blue screen
Because Limner is brand new, Windows may show a blue Windows protected your PC screen. That is normal for a fresh app and clears as more people install. Click More info, then Run anyway, and check the publisher reads Parker Vincent.
Launch & paint
Limner opens ready for File ▸ New, or offers to reopen your last project. Double-click any .limner file to open it directly.
Antivirus flagged it?
Some antivirus tools over-flag brand-new apps they have not seen before, a false positive that is common for small independent releases. Limner is code-signed and safe. If your antivirus quarantines the installer, restore or allow the file, then run it again. It also clears on its own as the app becomes more widely installed.
