Open and export layered PSD on Windows

Limner reads and writes layered Photoshop PSD, so your files move in and out without flattening. It is a native Windows app, free to start.

Import

File, Import PSD opens a Photoshop .psd file as a new document, with each PSD layer becoming a Limner layer. The import canvas limit is 8192 by 8192 pixels.

Export

Limner exports a layered PSD that other apps open with your layers intact. It also exports PNG, JPEG, and SVG, and opens common image formats including PNG, JPEG, WebP, BMP, GIF, and TIFF.

Why it matters

PSD is the common language between art apps. Because Limner reads and writes it, you can start a piece elsewhere and finish it in Limner, or hand a layered file to a collaborator who uses a different tool.

Does Limner keep my PSD layers?

Yes. On import, each PSD layer becomes a Limner layer. On export, Limner writes a layered PSD.

Is there a size limit?

PSD import supports canvases up to 8192 by 8192 pixels.
