Support
Limner is built by a small independent studio. Every message is read by the developer.
Contact
Email limnersupport@limnerart.com for anything: bug reports, feature requests, key problems, billing, or just questions. For bug reports, the fastest fixes come from messages that include:
- Your Limner version (shown at the bottom of the Help menu in the app).
- Your Windows version.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot or a .limner file helps a lot.
Manual and guides
- Interactive user manual: searchable, with a table of contents.
- Single-page manual: the whole manual as one plain page.
- Release notes: what changed in each version.

Common questions
My beta key never arrived
Keys are emailed within a few minutes of signing up. Check your spam or junk folder first. Each email address gets one key, so signing up again with the same address will not send a new one. If it is genuinely missing, email us from the address you signed up with and we will re-send it.
Windows showed a warning when I ran the installer
Microsoft SmartScreen sometimes shows a "Windows protected your PC" notice for newly released installers while they build reputation. Every Limner installer is code signed, and the download page lists the installer's SHA-256 checksum and a VirusTotal report so you can verify the exact file. If you downloaded Limner anywhere other than limnerart.com or our GitHub releases, delete it and download it again from here.
How do I update Limner?
In the app, use Help > Check for updates. By default Limner also checks once a day on launch and quietly offers the new version; nothing downloads until you accept, and you can turn the automatic check off in the same menu. You can always install the latest version over the top from the download page; your settings and brushes are kept.
My Plus or beta key will not activate
Activation needs an internet connection for a moment; if you are offline or a firewall is blocking the app, connect and try again from Help > Enter Limner Plus key. If Limner says your activation has expired after a long stretch offline, going online and using Help > Check for updates (or re-entering your key) renews it. If a key refuses to activate because it is in use on too many devices, email us and we will free up the old activation.
What are the system requirements?
Limner runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) and is built to work well on modest hardware, including Intel integrated graphics. Minimum: a dual-core CPU, 4 GB of RAM, and any GPU with a working Direct3D 12 or Vulkan driver. Recommended for 4K+ canvases, many layers, and animation: a quad-core CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and 2 GB of VRAM or a modern integrated GPU. Pen pressure works with any Windows Ink compatible tablet.
Purchases and refunds
Limner Plus purchases are processed by Stripe, so your receipt comes from Stripe. For billing questions, refunds, or a lost license key, email us from the address you used at purchase and we will sort it out.
Is this the same as the Limner iPad app?
No. Limner at limnerart.com is a native Windows painting, vector, animation, and comics studio, built by Limner LLC. It is not related to the separate "Limner" iPad-to-Mac tablet utility at limnerapp.com.
